Complying with the revised standards for RTOs
From 1 July 2025, the Australian Government Department of Employment and Workplace Relations’ (DEWR) revised Standards for RTOs will come into effect.
These changes aim to improve quality outcomes for learners and employers while enabling greater flexibility and innovation within the VET sector. As the standards require RTOs to support learner needs, they incorporate LLND skills. The revisions to the Standards for RTOs include three elements:
- The Outcome Standards
- The Compliance Requirements
- The Credential Policy
Each of the above elements contains changes that will affect requirements for RTOs, as well as trainers and assessors. If you are struggling to understand or meet these standards, there are several ways we can help.
